EZ-FLASH Junior is not working with GB Boy Colour

The EZ-FLASH Junior is not working with the GBC clone GB Boy Colour unfortunately. (microsd initial error)

I flashed it with the newest firmware (FW3).

Any chance that it will work in future?

"Item Describe", then black screen after updating to EZ Flash IV 2.05

I'm trying to update my EZ Flash IV (old, white one) to 2.05. I formatted the SD and put in the ezfla_up.bin, but after it updates I just see the desktop reading "Item Describe". Then about 30 seconds later, black streaks fall and cover the screen. Rebooting it just goes to a full black screen after the GBA logo.

It was working fine on 1.78 just 20 minutes ago, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Anyone know how I can fix it?

Hey All! First time post here but just wanted to share with everyone a simple web app I put up for converting single-line, decrypted AR codes to the format needed for EZ-Flash Omega cheats. The EZ provided cheat library is pretty rough and I was looking for an easy way to convert AR codes found at https://gamehacking.org to the format needed for the omega .cht files.

The app doesn't do anything fancy like encrypting / decrypting to different...

This is a beta kernel for advanced user testing only. It is not recommended for entry-level users.

A battery exhaustion prompt has been added. You will see it when you enter for the first time. Please ignore it. The next time you see it is when the battery is really depleted or removed.

This version eliminates Chinese support and file sorting, theoretically improves file name and directory compatibility, and improves the speed of file browsing.

Now a folder can contain 7000 files....

EZ Flash Jr keeps rebooting on DMG-01 and GBA-SP. It worked until some weeks ago.

My EZ-Flash Jr cartridge always worked on all three my gameboys:
GBA SP
DMG-01
Gameboy color.

Now it only works on the Gameboy Color and keeps rebooting on the other two units.

I measured the internal battery voltage and it reads 3.03V, which should be fine.
I replaced the battery nevertheless with a new 1220 cell, which reads 3.23V and the behavior is the same!

What can I do? I am running the latest kernel and firmware.

EZ Flash Junior GBC issues ("Micro SD initial error!")

I've seen a few threads about this, but it's been a while since they've been updated. Here's what's happening, and what I've tried to fix it.

When I boot up my GameBoy Color, "EZ-FLASH" is displayed, then "LOADING...", and finally "Micro SD initial error!" My GameBoy has model no. "CGB-001" written on the back. I have also tried with my GameBoy Advance SP, model no. "AGS-001", with the same results.

I have tried:

  • Three different microSD cards - two SanDisk 8G, and one SanDisk...

Okay, I've been trying to get this thing to work for hours now.

I did a full format of my 32gb Micro SD card, FAT32.

I updated the firmware.

I checked the files and folders to make sure they weren't read-only, and to make sure the files were archived.

And now it works sometimes. When I boot, I'll either see the GBA directory or not. It's like a coin toss. That's the only ROM folder that will show. The GB, GBC and NES folders have never shown up for me.

I'm at my wits end now. I've...

EZ-Flash Omega "firmware version" bug

Hi, my EZ-flash Omega keeps bugging me about a "firmware version" update and detecting mine as V00 regardless of what I do, even if I force update it by powering on using the R button, I tried using the omega-recovery, the SD card isn't detected at all if I do that, I tried with several SD cards. I can press B to skip this and keep using the card but it's rather annoying, any idea on how to fix this?

Hello everybody,

I have a problem with my new EZ-Flash OMEGA.
I received it today and made directly the update to the last kernel.
No problem with that, the software works on my GBA. But when I try to launch any GBA game, I got white screen ...
Have you a solution ?

Hallo everybody, I use a ez flash omega kingston micro sd 16 gb (fat32 format) on a GBA advance AGS-101.

Since last days I was able to run quite all the games with CLEAN BOOT mode.

Now, when I try to run a game appear a WHITE SCREEN freezed, it happens to all games.

I've tried:

- upgrade/downgrade kernel/firmware, same problem;
- format SD reinstall, change SD, same problem;
- change GBA, same problem.

The games are playable only on WRITE TO NOOR CLEAN mode.

Any suggestion? Thank you.

So I just bought one. Put the kernal package and updated it fine.
Download some games, all good and working fine.
About half the games aren't on the menu. I go through all the menus and can't find them.
Plug sd card into pc to see if they're copied over and when I look at the contents of the sd card, the games are there.
Put files in own folders,in a big folder, no folder at all. Same games still don't work
Try wiping the sd card and restarting. The exact same games don't work. Tried...

How to enter sleep mode on EZ-Flash? (EZ4 miniSD)

i installed kernel v2.05

How can i make games enter sleep mode like original GBA games, for example Metroid Fusion when i go to start menu and click "enter sleep mode it sleeps". It doesnt work with EZ-Flash...

i cant seems to figure out. Can you help?

Hello,

I recently bough an EZ Flash Omega for the sole purpose of using cheats on Pokemon Emerald.
After loading on the cheats, everything is in Chinese. I have not been able to find and cheat files from EZ Flash Omega that are in English.

Plus, the cheats in the file are not that great. They dont really do what I need them to do.
So, I was wondering if its possible to add either my own .cht file or to add more cheat codes to the game?

I have not seen any tutorial about this online. Is it...

Hi guys!

So heres the deal..i hate default skins on my EZ 4, so i want to make my own skins.

Is there some easy to use graphical edotor/skin maker for my EZ-flash IV (thats 4...the white one with mini SD's)
I use kernel v2.05 (i believe thats the latest one), and i still want to use that one.

EZflash Jr. won't boot in DMG or CGB

I just got my card in (from a USA-located seller on eBay), and when I attempt to start it up on my DMG-001 or my CGB boot fails at the "Game Boy" splash screen with no Nintendo logo (nor the solid black bar that indicates no cartridge at all being present). Any pointers? I've tried two different 16GB SDHC cards, both partitioned for full capacity and partitioned down to four gigabytes. I've also tried Firmware 3, Firmware 4, and a preliminary version of Firmware 5. Have I been duped?

Hey. I got my Jr today, which worked fine for about half an hour but now I am having major issues.

When attempting to turn it on after booting a rom, I get stuck in an infinte loop of booting, sometimes it's even going so far as to mess with the contrast and sound. This does not happen when the cart is inserted without an SD card (it loads the Nintendo logo and sits on the EZ Flash Loading screen just fine, no wierdness) or with a normal game cart.

Please vote only if you have an EZFlash Omega.

By the way, I have never had save issues with it, and I have played a lot of Mother 3. I wait 5 seconds before turning off the GBA, if it helps.
