[Ez-Flash Jr] Mind your batteries.

Hello. I'm actually leaving this post for posterity , since no info I found on the matter was even close to my issue.

On a differnt post, I stated my Ezflash Jr. was failing to boot. The farthest it got was the OS-INIT line when booting, which meant I couldn't even run a firmware update. The systems - A GB Pocket, and a GB Boy Colour (A GB Color clone backlit system) - just kept rebooting.

I tried formatting my sd card, using different sd cards, formatting with different tools, etc....

EZF Advance software

Good day!

I found back my EZF Advance with its original cable. However I do not have the software that goes with it anymore. I tried to download it from the official site but the download link is dead... and the only unofficial link i found was from filestrip website which seems to be closed down.

Any kind soul could upload the software?

Hello everyone :)
I have had my supercard miniSD for around 6 years now and never had a problem with it. It is 100% genuine. I have not used it for quite some time, maybe 1 or 2 years, but today a friend of mine wanted to burrow it with my gba. I did not have the software on my pc so I downloaded the newest version of the software and firmware - 1,85. Upgraded withou any problems, the tests show OK (after and before the upgrade). But when I put games into it, the QPC save method does not...

Hi everyone!

I just get an EZ-Flash Junior, an after some testing I noticed a weird issue. My unit is working perfectly in the following systems:
  • One Game Boy DMG-01
  • One Game Color CGB-01, with board CGB-CPU-01 and SoC "CPU CGB B"
  • Two Game Boy Advance AGB-001 modded with 101 display
  • One Game Boy Advance AGB-001 modded with IPS display
  • One Game Boy Advance SP AGS-101
  • One Game Boy Advance SP AGS-001 modded with IPS display
In all of these systems the cartridge...

I broke my EZ Flash Omega?

Ok, at first, sorry for my english. I hope u guys understand me :D

I have some problems with that cartdridge, freezes, noises, etc. I decided to downgrade firmware, so, old firmware downloaded, and started in my ez, but when progress reach 88% that stop, Im waiting for 5-7 minutes and nothing, stucked at 88% so I decide to turn off the console... Yeah, I know, Im an idiot, but now my GBA SP dont recognize the cartdrige, just dont show me the Nintendo logo when turn in pon never more...

Can...

EZ Flash JR - stuck at OSINIT

Just received my EZ Flash junior, but can't get it to work. Everytime I boot it, it get's stuck at "OSINIT"

I tried on multiple devices:

- Gameboy Color
- 1 x 010 GBA SP
- 2 x 001 GBA SP
- 1 x Original GBA
- 1 Fat Game Boy classic

I also tried multiple SD cards, and different layouts. Current layout is fat 32 formated card, the EZGB.Dat file in the root, together with the folders "ROMS" and "SAVER". Am I missing something, or is it just a defective unit?

PS: I tried all devices with new...

So I've been using an Omega on a GBA-SP AGS101 (backlit) since May 14, 2018 .

There where issue at the beginning where things could not save in combination with an AGS101. But the devs fixed that issue after a while. So I was happy, didn't really use it in months. But now I thought why no play some more on it. But yeah you guessed it. Save issues arised again....

F2A 256M: GBA ROMs in wrong menu slots

Help appreciated,

I am using the F2A USB software and drivers from here:

http://www.gameboy-advance.net/fal_soft/flash_2_advance_writer.htm

When I write multiple ROMs to my F2A 256M, they appear in out-of-place menu slots when I boot up.

e.g. 4 x ROMs will be in slots 1, 4, 7 and 8, not 1-4 as expected. The other slots have either blank entries, or are non-functional duplicates of existing entries.

This is a problem, as all ROMs in menu positions >4 will overwrite slot 4's...

Hi @EZ-Flash2,
Could we have a build with the latest release of Goomba in it?
I was going to link the thread here but it's not letting me since I'm a new account. See "goomba-color-update-2019-05-04" in the Nintendo GBA Discussions forum on this forum.
There was a critical save bug fixed in the newest Goomba build. It'd be nice to have that in ezkernel.

Ezflash Jr firmware 1.03 sorting error

Please look at the picture. Super Mario Land II goes last.

Also, sorting (in other places) is case sensitive and sorts uppercase letters always before lowercase ones.
For instance "T" comes before "a".

Script to sort ROMS for the Ez Flash Jr

I wrote a Linux script to run into the folder containing your GB or GBC ROMs.

It will unzip the (eventually) zipped files, and split all the roms so that any folder will have at most nine folders or files (that's what fits the screen with the current 1.03 firmware).
Everything is copied and sorted in a subfolder (named... "sorted") so everything is left untouched in your collection.

This regulation is corresponding with kernel 1.03. may be changed with further kernel update.

  1. The total items in root no more than 99. including SAVER folder and ezgb.dat, it means you can create another 97 items(folders or files) in the root folder.
  2. Filename length no more than 80 characters(file extension not included).

Black Screen in M3 adapter Slot-2

Hi everyone, recently I acquired a GBA with a flashcart M3 Slot-2, After passing the GAMEBOY logo, the screen goes black and does not advance.

If I remove the cartridge a little, the following message that the SD card needs to be formatted appears

The flashcart seems to work because if I enter it without an SD card, the message that it does not have one appears.

Can't boot games using GBC with EZ Flash Jr.

I'm having issues booting games with the EZ Flash Jr. on a genuine Game Boy Color. I'm using a pair of regular Energizer AA LR6 batteries, as the EZ Flash Jr. will not even boot to the menu using a pair of Energizer Recharge NiMH AA batteries. Using the regular batteries, I can select a game in the menu and load it, but cannot actually boot into a game. I am also using the latest firmware as of today. Is there anything else I can try?
