Ez-Flash Jr. RTC don't work if the cartridge is not played.

Hi everyone, I have the Ez-Flash Junior but the RTC don't run if the cartridge is out of the Game Boy, only runs if I'm playing... It's normal?

I tested with the testflight and the latest stable release and didn't work...

Edit: I guess the battery is working because the "Auto save" option is checked...
